How To – Orienteering

Orienteering is a navigation activity that uses a map and compass to move from one point to another. The process involves obtaining a detailed map, determining your pace, orienting the map to match the terrain, finding your current location, and using a compass to set a direction. After calculating the distance on the map and converting it to paces, you walk in the set direction while counting paces to reach your destination.
